Poolside Perfection in Apache Junction Arizona

If you know me, you know I’m all about comfort and a little bit of fun—especially when it comes to travel. One of our favorite getaway spots? Arizona—specifically, a hidden gem of a rental we once found in Apache Junction, nestled right at the foot of the Superstition Mountains. 🌄

This place was a total dream: 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, tons of space to unwind, a private pool, a putt-putt golf course, hot tub—you name it, it had it. I honestly wanted to move in! Sadly, it looks like the home has since been sold and is no longer available for rent (cue dramatic sigh 😭). But I’m keeping my eye on it—if it ever pops back up, you know I’ll be the first to share.

Now, here’s the fun part: While lounging poolside one sunny Arizona afternoon, I spotted these magical, color-changing cups in the kitchen. Total game-changer. I fell in love with them instantly. 💖

They're bright, fun, and totally scream spring and summer vibes. Just add a cold drink and boom—they shift into a whole new color. It’s like your cup is joining the party. These are perfect for poolside lounging, beach days, grill nights, or honestly just making Tuesday feel more festive.

I loved them so much, I immediately bought two sets when I got home—because yes, the colors are all different and yes, I love mixing and matching the lids like it’s a sport.

But wait, it gets better...

The house had lots of cool floats for use in the pool. We had an alligator float (pictured here), plus a llama and even a flamingo float—talk about a photo op! They were such a hit and made the whole pool scene feel extra festive and playful.

And of course, no pool day is complete without a refreshing treat. On one especially hot day, we made a stop at Bahama Buck’s and WOW—best snow cones ever. I tried the Pickle Juice Snow Cone (yes, seriously!) and it was surprisingly delicious. Don’t knock it till you try it! 😄
